In September 2024, Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) swept through northern Vietnam, leaving behind profound losses and devastation across many provinces. Homes were destroyed, fields and gardens were devastated, and countless families were left facing overwhelming hardship. Amid the disaster, the spirit of solidarity and compassion among the Vietnamese people once again emerged strongly.

In response to the difficult circumstances, the Vietnamese tradition of “mutual support and compassion” was once again brought to the fore. In response to the call from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the collective of SAIGON 9 Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company (SAIGON IX) launched an emergency fundraising campaign. In a short period of time, contributions from employees came together to form practical support for communities affected by the typhoon.

As a result, SAIGON IX contributed more than VND 200 million to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and District 12, joining relief efforts and providing people in affected areas with additional resources to overcome this difficult period.

While the contribution could not erase the full extent of the suffering, it represented the sincere care and solidarity of the SAIGON IX community for people in northern Vietnam. It conveyed a simple yet meaningful message: you are not alone; people across the country stand with you and share in your hardship. Every contribution, however small, became a spark of hope, bringing warmth and reassurance to communities amid the storm.

For SAIGON IX, this initiative went beyond material support. It carried a deeply human message: in times of hardship, we stand together and no one should be left behind. The support extended was also an expression of faith and hope – the hope that, after the storm, life would soon return to normal and smiles and joy would once again find their way back to the faces of those affected.

Through practical acts of solidarity, SAIGON IX continues to affirm its social responsibility and commitment to the community, working to spread compassion and solidarity while contributing to the creation of a more humane and sustainable society.
