PARK IX Receives EDGE Certification – A Green Building Landmark in the Heart of Ho Chi Minh City

There is a story about buildings that know how to “breathe”, where every brick and every square meter of floor space exists not only to serve people but also to coexist with nature, conserve resources and reduce environmental impact. That story is unfolding in the heart of Saigon as PARK IX officially received its EDGE certification on the morning of April 3, 2025.
From a Green Vision to Sustainable Reality
Located at 8 Phan Dinh Giot Street in Tan Binh District, PARK IX is more than a modern office building. It represents SAIGON IX’s strong commitment to sustainable development. From the design stage, the project was developed in accordance with the international EDGE standard – a green building certification system developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC)

The figures speak for themselves: 24% energy savings achieved through optimized lighting and air – conditioning systems, a 45% reduction in water consumption through advanced water – saving fixtures and a 63% reduction in embodied carbon from building materials. These figures reflect a serious investment in sustainability while also demonstrating a new mindset in real estate: building not only to serve but also to preserve.
A Ceremony Marking Commitment
Held in the elegant main lobby of the building, the EDGE certification ceremony was more than an award presentation. It reaffirmed SAIGON IX’s commitment to green development. Representatives from SGS, the quality inspection organization and experts from Ardor Green shared insights into PARK IX’s journey toward achieving the certification. This achievement represents more than standards on paper. It is the result of a rigorous process with stringent requirements for design, materials and operations.

The moment when SAIGON IX representatives received the EDGE certification from SGS marked a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward developing buildings that create positive impacts for both the community and the environment. The ceremony also provided an opportunity for experts, partners and clients to exchange perspectives on the development of green buildings in Vietnam.
Long – Term Impact and Future Vision
The EDGE certification brings practical benefits to PARK IX and its tenants while contributing to greater awareness of sustainable real estate. As the shift toward greener buildings becomes a global standard, PARK IX’s achievement can serve as a model for other developments in Vietnam.

Expert Perspective: Green Buildings – An Inevitable Trend in Real Estate
At the event, Mr. Le Hoang Chau – Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association, delivered an important speech on the future development of green buildings. According to him, demand for energy – efficient and environmentally friendly buildings is growing steadily among tenants as well as investors and regulatory authorities.
“Green buildings are no longer an option but have become an inevitable trend in the real estate industry. Buildings like PARK IX are helping reshape the market while delivering benefits not only in economic terms but also for the environment and public health,” emphasized Mr. Le Hoang Chau.

SAIGON IX’s Sustainable Path Forward

The story does not end here. SAIGON IX representatives affirmed that the EDGE certification is only the beginning. In the future, the company will continue to expand this model and bring more developments into its green building ecosystem.
“We believe that real estate development is not simply about construction but also about creating sustainable values for the community,” a SAIGON IX representative shared.
The event concluded with congratulatory handshakes, conversations about the future and a shared belief that even in the heart of this dynamic city, there can be buildings that know how to “breathe” — for people and for the environment.
